is home to more than 100 courses. Many of the courses are home to televised
golf tournaments. Their incredible beauty and levels of challenge make
them a favorite among golfers from around the globe. There is a golf course
suited to golfers of every skill level. Many of the Palm Springs area
golf courses offer breath taking mountain views and incredible amenities.

Country Club
Desert Princess Country Club's spacious fairways attract golfers
from miles around. If golfers are not careful, the club's pristine
lakes can distract their ability to successfully maneuver on its well-bunkered
greens. Three verdant golf courses (Los Lagos, El Cielo, and La Vista)
are located at Desert Princess. The country club is located at 28-555
Landau Blvd. The green fees vary from $50 to $125 throughout the year.
Cathedral Canyon Country Club
More than 20 lakes speckle the scenic, tree-lined golf courses at the
27-hole Cathedral Canyon Country Club. It has three nine-hole golf courses
with moderately rolling fairways and Bermuda greens. Each course has a
par 72. Amenities at the club include a driving range, clubhouse, and
locker rooms. It is located at 34-567 Cathedral Canyon Drive. The green
fees vary.
La Quinta
La Quinta
Resort Mountain Course
The distinctively designed La Quinta Mountain Golf Course is a fixture
of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The golf course zigzags at the foot of the
famous mountains within a 6,756-yard area. Architect Pete Dye's
artistic design is ranked among the nation's best golf courses on
Golf Magazine's "Top 100 You Can Play" list. It hosted
the 1985 World Cup and has been the chosen spot for many PGA Club Professional
Championships. The Mountain Course, with a par-72, is located at 50-200
Avenue Vista Bonita. It is adjacent to La Quinta Dunes, another one of
Dye's creations. Its green fees vary from $75 to $235 throughout
the year.
PGA West Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course
Curved greens, deep sand bunkers, and neatly manicured foilage shape this
Jack Nicklaus masterpiece. Amenities at the 18-hole PGA West Jack Nicklaus
Tournament Course include practice greens, locker rooms, showers, a driving
range and clubhouse. The Tournament Course, located at 56-150 PGA Blvd.,
is one of six golf courses located at the world-class PGA West country
club - a 2,200-acre recreational, resort development that also features
tennis and fitness. The course is world-renown for hosting the Grand Slam
of Golf Wendy's Tree Tour Challenge and the PGA's Tour Qualifying School.

Country Club
Desert Falls Country Club's link-style course offers a challenge.
In fact, Golf News Magazine labeled it "one of Southern California's
most enjoyable and challenging courses" in June 1994. The par-72
course, which covers 7,000 yards, is very hilly and full of lakes. The
country club has hosted several PGA Tours, including the November 1992
Don Drysdale's PGA Senior Tour. Amenities include a driving range and
clubhouse. Green fees vary every season at Desert Falls, which is located
at 1111 Desert Falls Parkway.
Desert Willow

Desert Willow Resort's gaping desert landscape attracts tourists
who want to enjoy some scenery while they golf. The country club has two
18-hole, championship courses - Firecliff and Mountain View. Three
designers, including a top-ranking golf architect and a PGA professional,
created the resort. It is located at 38-995 Desert Willow Drive. Green
fees range from $130 to $160.

Golf and Country Club
Mesquite Golf and Country Club is a daintily rolling 18-hole, par-72 golf
course with a backdrop of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains. The
course, with Bermuda greens, is located at 2700 E. Mesquite Ave. This
epic course, which is spotted with several calm lakes and soft-flowing
streams, is open year-round. Green fees range from $35 to $80 at the country
club.

Country Club
Golfers have been teeing off at the Palm Springs Country Club since 1960.
It was one of the original clubs built in Palm Springs. The club's
18-hole golf course, which has a par 72, is open year-round. Its green
fee is $40 on weekdays, and $50 during weekends. Palm Springs Country
Club is located at located at 2500 Whitewater Club Road.
Tahquitz
Creek Golf Resort
This championship golf course sprawls across a 6,000-yard terrain. The
Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort has two tree-lined, 18-hole courses (Legends
and Resort) that offer views of the mountains. The resort, located at
1885 Golf Club Drive, is open year-round. Visitors may want to browse
though the resort's golf shop for equipment and Tahquitz Creek paraphernalia
before they begin their outing. Green fees range from $38 to $60 at Tahquitz
Creek.
Tommy Jacobs'
Bel Air Greens
Slender fairways are not the only attractive features of Tommy Jacobs'
Bel Air Greens. The nine-hole golf course draws golfers of all skill levels
with its breathtaking scenery, shaded driving range, 18-hole Garden Mini
Golf course, restaurant, and sports bar. It is located at 1001 S. El Cielo
Road. Its green fee is $27 on weekends and weekdays.
